Highlights

Thank you for two inspiring days at the workshop "Trust and Resilience in Digital Societies"! The joint event of SecHuman, CASA, and the Research Center Trustworthy Data Science and Security was successfully hosted at RUB on November 6 and 7, 2023. The program featured a panel discussion and keynotes by Markus Langer (Uni Göttingen), Nils Köbis (UDE) and Laura Kocksch (Aalborg University Denmark), tackling different aspects of the question what a digital society actually needs from AI, cyber security, and related areas of research. Speed dating sessions, lightning talks and poster presentations led to intensive networking and the exchange of current research (ideas). Thanks to all the speakers, participants, and the entire organizing team for making the workshop such a success!

Highlights

From 15th to 17th May 2023 the SecHuman & CASA Spring School "Practicing security hands-on. Methods and practice of inclusive security" took place at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum. IT security researchers and international students from multiple disciplines came together, exploring, discovering and discussing IT security problems and co-creating answers. Many thanks to Prof. Lizzie Coles-Kemp and Dr. Laura Shipp from Royal Holloway University London for sharing their expertise in inclusive security and for guiding us through the valuable processes of participatory IT security research. The workshop was captured in a graphic recording by ewerART that can be found here.
